Wiki “Singles centers on the precarious romantic lives of a group of young Gen X’ers in Seattle, Washington at the height of the 1990s grunge phenomenon. Most of the characters dwell in an apartment block, a sign in front of which advertises “Singles” (single bedroom apartments) for rent. Divided into chapters, the film focuses on the course of two couples’ rocky romances, as well as the love lives of their friends and associates.”
This is one of those movies that I have seen at least a dozen times and still enjoy today. Lots of great 90s memories, songs, scenery in the movie along with a few quirky things that every person from that time will identify too. For me the one that sticks out is the scene where Steve Dunne (character in the movie) opens the door for Linda Powell and she leans over and unlocks his door…it is a keeper test/sign that a lot of guys used to do. 🙂 It has been in a decent amount of movies and I remember doing it in the 80s.
Also, the soundtrack for this movie is one of the best out there.
